Changing Lives Service

(Previously known as Gateway Club)

The Changing Lives Service is made up of ten social groups for adults with learning disabilities in and around Leeds. Groups run in the evenings on a weekly basis from Monday – Friday.
The groups provide a safe environment where members can come and socialise as well as try new activities. The groups are run by staff and volunteers, however the members decide what they want to do on a weekly basis. Activities can vary from cooking, to music and sports. The groups often have external visitors such as musicians, theatre companies and fitness teachers, to facilitate activities.
Carers are welcome to accompany members. A small submission fee applies for each group, refreshments are provided.
Who are the groups good for?
• Are you 18 or over?
• Do you want to meet new people?
• Do you want to get out of the house?
• Do you want to try new activities in a space where you decide what activities are
being run?
