A recent court decision about the legal meaning of the word “woman” has made some people feel upset, especially people who are trans and non-binary. We know this news may be worrying or confusing. That’s why we want to say clearly:

We support our trans and non-binary members, staff, and wider community.

This means we:

• Respect people’s names and pronouns
• Speak up when we see or hear hate
• Listen and learn from trans voices
• Support charities and groups led by trans and non-binary people

We want People in Action to be a place where everyone belongs — and that includes our trans and non-binary community.
