Circle of Support – Training Session

As part of our National Lottery-funded Healthy Lifestyles Programme, we have developed a Circle of Support (COS) training.

This free training session will help support workers and family members who support learning disabled and autistic people to help the people they support to:

  • Eat a more healthy diet
  • Be more active
  • Manage their weight
  • Explore their emotional wellbeing

This training course has two seperate target audiences:

  1. Support workers and professionals working with learning disabled and autistic adults.
  2. Family and friends of learning disabled and autistic adults.

All sessions run at The Old Fire Station in Gipton and run from 9.30am until 4.30pm with a light lunch included. All courses are free to attend.

The upcoming dates are as follows:

Courses for professionals:

  • Thursday 14th May 2026
  • Thursday 9th July 2026
  • Thursday 5th November 2026

Courses for family & friends:

  • Thursday 25th June 2026
  • Thursday 24th September 2026
  • Thursday 3rd December 2026
